POETIC SYNERGETICS-
This wordshop explores poetry's transcendence of individual self-expression and leads us into the fertile territory of collaborative collective storytelling. It provides a safe and playful environment to experiment with the power and possibilities of synergy...with a poetic flavor. Come add your voice to the weave and leave full to bursting with inspiration.
THE DANCE OF POETRY-
At the intersection of movement and poetics this expressive wordshop will safely and playfully guide participants into writing and dancing and discovering the compelling compatabilities these two art forms generate when in relationship.
PHILOSOPHONICS-
This wordshop uses an inspiring buffet of master wordsmiths/mc's as a launchpad into dialogue and writing at the intersection of philosophy and poetics. In other words, we will listen to examples of profound perspectives that are well articulated (most often in conscious hip hop) and learn from these examples about word craft and expanding our consciousness. Then we get a chance to identify the most compelling topics for us and start to generate our own philosophonics.
INTEGRATIVE DANCE w/ propz-
Explore the many facets of the self through movement. In this playshop
we will journey into the richness of authentic or expressive dance using masks, fans, veils, staffs, poetry, and diverse evocative music. You will get to explore and integrate the multi-facetedness of yourself, and the use of props in dance for prayer or performance.
OFF THE PAGE-
This wordshop explores the many ways to get your words off the page and bring them to life through voice, multi-media, theatrics, collage, interactivation, and other edgy methods. You will get a chance to dialogue with your favorite writings and find out what wild ideas they have for the life they want to have off of the page, and then be encouraged to make some of those wild ideas happen.
HOLISTIC CREATIVE ACTIVISM-
How can we use the arts to respond to the present crisis and to
manifest the world we want to live in? We will look at many examples of creative ways of making a difference in our world to inspire us to find meaningful applications for our talents.This playshop will be experiential and offer us some tools and juice so that changing the world can be more musical, artistic, and fun!
EARTH WISDOM & the Wheel-
At the root of many of our societies problems is a fundamental split and disconnection with the ground of our being/nature. This workshop is about reclaiming that inherant connection and the healing transformative effect that can make in our lives. Drawing from medicine wheel teachings, ecopsychology, wilderness rites of passage, and shamanic arts, this workshop explores the fertile intersection between the wild and true wisdom of Nature, and the unique landscape of your true nature.

After a brief discussion about the importance of collaboration and synergy in accelerating the empowerment of our subculture, we will get a chance to organize ourselves into pods of affinity. We choose our most current or top priority realm and get to have a creative break out session with the other people who share this passion and sphere of works.
After our pod meetings we will get to reconvene in the big circle and be enriched by a brief summary of the results of each pods networking experience and then discuss tools and follow up options to continue the crucial project of staying in connection and solidarity in our linked endeavors.
